Terms and Conditions

Current version: 1.0.0

These terms are governed by Tanzanian law. They must be reviewed by legal counsel before production launch. Support: [email protected].

1. Introduction and acceptance

By registering for or using NurseLink (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy at /privacy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. We may require you to accept updated terms before continued use.

2. Nature of the service

NurseLink is a technology marketplace that connects independent nurses with hospitals and healthcare facilities seeking temporary or shift-based cover in Tanzania.

NurseLink is not a hospital, employer of nurses, nursing agency licensed under the Private Hospitals (Regulation of Nurses) Rules, or medical provider. Shift arrangements are directly between the nurse and the facility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We do not guarantee availability of shifts or nurses, and we do not guarantee clinical outcomes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter binding contracts.

Nurses must hold valid registration with the Tanzania Nursing Council (TNC) and maintain good standing for the duration of use.

Hospitals must be duly licensed facilities with authority to engage temporary nursing staff under applicable Tanzanian health laws.

4. Nurse obligations

Provide accurate personal, professional, and contact information; promptly update changes.

Upload genuine TNMC/TNC and identity documents; notify NurseLink of suspension or expiry of licensure.

Attend confirmed shifts punctually, follow facility policies and professional standards, and maintain patient confidentiality per Tanzanian law and professional codes.

Do not misrepresent qualifications or work under another person’s credentials.

4a. Photo identification at the workplace

Nurses must present original photo identification at the hospital or clinic at the start of every shift. Accepted documents include: National ID (NIDA), passport, valid driving licence, or TNMC practising licence.

Facilities may refuse entry or send a nurse home if acceptable ID is not produced. NurseLink is not liable for refusal of entry by a facility enforcing its security policies.

5. Hospital and facility obligations

Provide accurate organisation, licensing, and contact details; ensure the person registering has authority to bind the organisation.

Post only genuine shift requirements; provide safe working conditions consistent with applicable labour and health regulations.

Pay agreed rates promptly through channels agreed with the nurse or as stated on the Platform.

Do not request nurses to perform duties outside their scope of practice or licensure.

6. Verification and approval

We may verify TNC status, licences, and documents with third parties or regulators. Approval is at our discretion.

Verification does not replace the facility’s own due diligence or statutory obligations.

7. Fees and payments

Platform fees, commissions, and billing terms are disclosed during onboarding, in shift confirmations, or in separate commercial agreements.

Unless stated otherwise, NurseLink is not responsible for payment disputes between nurses and hospitals; parties should resolve payment terms before the shift.

8. Bookings and cancellations

A booking is binding once confirmed in the Platform. Cancellations must follow notice periods shown in the app.

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect ratings, visibility, or account status.

9. No-show policy

Failure to attend a confirmed shift without acceptable notice may be recorded as a no-show and may lead to suspension or termination.

10. Acceptable use

No harassment, discrimination, fraud, unauthorised data sharing, scraping, or interference with the Platform.

No upload of malware, unlawful content, or patient-identifiable records unrelated to your own professional registration.

11. Health information disclaimer

The Platform is for staffing coordination, not clinical care delivery. Users remain responsible for compliance with the Ministry of Health guidelines, facility policies, and professional ethics.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, NurseLink and its officers are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, or for acts/omissions of users, clinical incidents, or payment failures between parties.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the fees paid to NurseLink by you in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or TZS equivalent, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify NurseLink against claims arising from your breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or professional negligence, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 (Tanzania) and applicable international principles.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, regulatory concerns, risk to users, or inactivity. You may request account closure via support.

16. Electronic transactions

You consent to electronic communications and records under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2015 (Tanzania) where applicable.

17. Disputes

Parties should attempt good-faith resolution. NurseLink may offer informal assistance but is not obliged to arbitrate employment or clinical disputes.

Unresolved disputes are subject to the courts of the United Republic of Tanzania unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

19. Contact and complaints

Support and complaints: [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five (5) business days.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with a new version number. Material changes may require your renewed acceptance before continued use of the dashboard.
